Qualcomm hires Apple GC
In More Qualcomm news, the San Diego cell phone technology firm announced that it
has hired a new general counsel—former Apple GC Donald Rosenberg.
Rosenberg, who worked for 30 years at IBM, before moving to Apple, only spent 10 months at Apple. He took over after predecessor Nancy Heinen left during the fallout from investigations of a stock option backdating scandal. Rosenberg replaces former Qualcomm GC Lou Lupin, who resigned in mid-August after the company suffered a string of legal setbacks and accusations of gross discovery misconduct in a suit against Broadcom.
Former S.D. U.S. Attorney Carol Lam, who joined Qualcomm last year as a vice president, had been interim general counsel while the company looked for Lupin's replacement.
